Mission Statement

Welcome to The Savannah, Ga Chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers M/C website. The Buffalo Soldiers & Troopers M/C are a non-profit , Family Oriented Motorcycle club that has a predominately minority core membership. We are composed of Males and Females from the Military, Law Enforcement and other Professional affiliations (Active and Retired) that are dedicated to the sport of motorcycling. We as a club don't claim any area's or territories, We are the Good Guys, The 99% ers. The club was founded on the principal to preserve the rich history of the Buffalo Soldiers during the mid-to-late 1800's. The US Army's 9th and 10th Calvary units also called the "Buffalo Soldiers" We ride under the name "Buffalo Soldiers" to express our pride and our accomplishments made during the decades following the civil war. We will serve to ignite and strengthen the values into our youths and into our community.

Our Chapters Beginning

On March 2005, The Augusta,Ga Chapters President Jimmy "Gun Metal" Barnes and the Georgia's Mother Chapter's President TK" Renegade" Styles, gave the nine former members of the Augusta ,Ga Chapter the go ahead to form the Savannah,Ga  Chapter. The nine members of the new form Savannah, Ga  Chapters was charted at the 05 summer meeting of the Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers M/C meeting which was held in Cherry Hills New Jersey.

Fort Levenworth Kansas

Another important Chapter in History was restored on July 26 1992. The achievement of the Army's 9th and 10th Cavalry regiments, Known as the Buffalo Soldiers( Two all black Cavalry regiments) were reconized during the official unveiling of a monument in their honor. The Buffalo Soldiers have 24 Congressional Medal of Honor receipients among their members

Retired 1st Sgt Mark Matthews, Once the oldest living member of the 10th cavalry Buffalo Soldiers pass at the age of 111. He served in segregated outfits on the Western Frontier in the late 19th and early 20th century

Cathay(Ka-thay)Williams

1842-1924

On November 15,1866 A little more than a year after the Civil War had ended, Cathay Williams disguised herself as a man, Using this diguise, she joined the 38th Infantry Regiment, one of the newly formed African American regiments in the United States Army. The African Americans who joined these regiments became known as the Buffalo Soldiers. Ms Williams was the first and only Female Buffalo Soldier.
